[ MINISTRY WARDED (V) TO SELF. ]
I have a sneaking suspicion that Pansy is displeased with me.
The reason/s why, I am not entirely sure. I have never been entirely sure what she finds fault in my actions. This is ridiculous. I have not done anything wrong. Although I must admit that while the whole hubbub with those coins from the vigilantes was rather amusing, I might have been a little too cruel.
(But one has to admit that Pansy, of all people, would expect a ring in something more worthy than a plain black box.)
Mother said I should appease her with something special for this Christmas. Knowing Pansy, I don't think she would easily absolve me of whatever offence she thinks I committed. On the other hand, if I give her my mother's engagement ring, she might get the wrong impression once more. Father advised that I take a more simplistic approach and just propose, but I don't know. I'm not entirely sure whether Pansy and I are ready for such a commitment yet, especially since we are so young. I shall discuss this with her further when she is less irritated. [ END WARDS. ]

[ MINISTRY WARDED (V) TO INQUISITORIAL SQUAD. ]
I know that we are all doing are best with our duties, and with the approaching festive season, we cannot help but be a little distracted. However, the people we work against do not seem to regard any form of public holiday as a signal to slack off in their efforts. For those who are currently unaware, there were posters plastered around the Ministry yesterday. I have also been informed that they were also seen in Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade. This cannot be tolerated.
I'm sure that the Ministry has enacted a clean-up to strip the propaganda from walls and establishments, but it would save us all the time and effort from cleaning after these imbeciles if we nip their plans in the bud. Therefore, I suggest that we have more vigilance when it comes to our duties and, if our schedules could spare us, redouble our efforts with the Inquisitorial Squad. One more random check can mean the difference between foiling their plans and letting them continue disrespecting our authority. [ END WARDS. ]

[ MINISTRY WARDED(V) PRIVATE TO INQUISITORIAL SQUAD. ]
Much as I dislike having to work with certain individuals again, I think the Inquisitorial Squad has been very efficient with handling the current investigation with the suspects. I only ask, however, that these checks continue to be more and more random instead of degrading into an easily discerned pattern. While I think the former members of the DA are not the brightest individuals, reverting to routine can give them ample opportunity to find ways to undermine our authority. [ END WARDS. ]
[ MINISTRY WARDED (V) PRIVATE TO SLYTHERIN 1998. ]
Perhaps it is too early to say, but I believe my mother is planning a small soiree before Christmas. Father seems amenable to the idea so I'm sure invitations will be sent out to acceptable parties in due course. [ END WARDS. ]
The one who adapts his policy to the times prospers, and likewise that the one whose policy clashes with the demands of the times does not.
Interesting man, Niccolo Machiavelli.
